A new way to build a Greenland Paddle

A member of the North Shore Paddlers Network (nspn.org), up in Massachusetts, has come up with a way to build Greenland paddles using a clever jig she designed, and a high speed router.

Greenland paddles have a lot to recommend them, not the least of which is their cheap price if home made. Other than that, less tendinitis injuries, higher stroke cadence, less torque, no power face to fool with when sculling or rolling, etc.

I've got a blog posting that describes how the jig works. There's lots of photos. On the right hand side of the blog there's a crawlback to all the previous posts showing the jig in use step by step.

The blog's at http://paddlingtravelers.blogspot.com
